Did you know that MOST countries in the world grow sunflowers? Also, sunflowers are grown in most states in the U.S.

We are big fans of “day trips” in our house. Sometimes, this consists of searching the local websites, Facebook Pages, and parenting blogs to find unique things we haven’t been to before. On this gorgeous day, we decided to check out a local sunflower field.

The resulting pictures were beautiful. My kids LOVED the ENORMOUS sunflowers. Really, that’s the take home message here. Find cool stuff. Flowers are awesome. Go! Take pictures. Let your kids run through nature. Support local farmers. Enjoy 🙂
