Go-Karts! Laser Tag! Bowling! Rides! Ropes Courses! Black Light Mini Golf! Arcade! You can find all of this, and MORE, at the indoor Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks, Pennsylvania (outside of Philadelphia)!

I have been legit RAVING about Arnold’s Family Fun Center since they invited us to visit and play for a day! We partnered with them for a giveaway to our Lehigh Valley Day Trips Facebook Group. (We were guests of Arnold’s, but were not paid for this article. All opinions are our own).
I’m not going to lie… I often dread a trip to an “indoor play space.” You know the ones I mean… trampoline parks etc. that are LOUD, with no comfortable seating for parents, and terrible food. I know my kids love those places, but often to me, 20 minutes there is like 3 hours in adult time. I CAN participate in the activities my kids are doing (and sometimes even have fun), but it takes a toll on my body that I feel for days.
Let me be perfectly clear… Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks is NOT THAT PLACE. The reason? IT IS AWESOME. EVEN FOR PARENTS. Seriously – Parents, I am talking to YOU. Not only will your kids love this place, but YOU WILL ACTUALLY HAVE FUN AND WANT TO GO BACK. Why? Let’s break it down!
Go-Karts at Arnold’s

The adult Go-Karts at Arnold’s are FAST. Like drifting, shrieking with laughter and excitement, and crush the competition kind of fast. Although their Sodi Pro Karts (60”+) are supposedly faster, you can still feel like a pro in the classic Arnold’s Go-Karts – which come as either a single rider kart, or a double!

Not to be left out, there are also child-friendly Go-Karts at Arnold’s, which come with their own track. Our littlest kiddo (age 5) raced in one of the smallest Go-Karts, while our daughter (age 8) raced against some older kiddos. Anytime there was a (gentle) crash, the staff stepped in to dislodge the traffic jam and get the kids moving again. They raced together for a good amount of time!

Laser Tag at Arnold’s

My daughter and I were way too into the competition of Laser Tag to snag any pictures, but the Laser Tag at Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks is FUN. The room is not too dark (which can be scary for kiddos), and has a variety of obstacles to hide behind. It had been years (decades?) since I had played Laser Tag, but it was just as fun.
Bowling at Arnold’s

Believe it or not, this was our first time bowling as a family! Bowling is the only thing you need to reserve at Arnold’s, which you can do by clicking here. I would recommend booking your lane the third hour into your visit, and to pair it with your meal!
Setup is easy, and scores are automated. You can even select bumpers “on” or “off” for each player at the beginning of the game, and the bumpers will automatically rise or store at the beginning of each player’s turn. Arnold’s also provides ramps for younger players. Shoes and balls are readily available. The bowling alley is clean and in good shape! Competition within our family was fierce, but Daddy took home the gold. One hour of lane time was perfect to finish our game, hydrate, and have a great meal!
Dining at Arnold’s
Dining at most indoor play spaces is incredibly limited, and often disappointing. That is NOT the case at Arnold’s Family Fun Center in Oaks! They have your traditional snacks, candy, and ice cream, but they also have pizza, wings, hoagies (AKA subs or grinders depending on where you’re from), burgers, grilled chicken, and cheesesteaks! (Yes, protein options at an indoor play space). They also have BOOZY drinks! Here is a link to their full menu. Our kids split a burger and fries, and we also polished off some (very tasty) boneless wings. The staff also provided us a pitcher of ice water.
Ropes Courses at Arnold’s

Our 8 year old daughter loves a ropes course, and she was very impressed with the ropes course at Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks! She felt safe and also found it to be challenging. That said, what I think truly sets the ropes course at Arnold’s apart is that in addition to the “big kids” ropes course up high, they also have a ropes course just off the ground! Let me tell you, our 5 year old was THRILLED. He’s always felt a little jealous of his older sister when she goes on the high ropes courses, but even if he were tall enough, heights still make him nervous. This allowed him to navigate his own ropes course, but without that fear of heights. I commend Arnold’s so much for thinking of the littles, and our son had a BLAST!
Black Light Miniature Golf at Arnold’s

“Under the Sea” is the theme for Black Light Miniature Golf at Arnold’s Family Fun Center. This is an abbreviated course, just long enough to feel like you’ve played a full “game,” and not long enough to make it feel like you’ve spent your entire time at Arnold’s playing mini-golf. Putters of different sizes and a variety of neon-colored golf balls are available at the beginning of the course.
Rides and Bouncy Houses at Arnold’s

There are so many fun rides for kiddos at Arnold’s Family Fun Center at Oaks! (Adults can even join in on the fun for a few of the rides). There were multiple bouncy houses, which our son loved.
Arcade at Arnold’s

The Arcade at Arnold’s has a ton of variety, from new games to the classics. My favorite games were the jumbo versions of classic games, like “Connect 4” and “Space Invaders!” Like many new arcades, however, the credits go QUICKLY, so use those credits wisely! I would recommend saving the Arcade until the end of your trip, since the other experiences at Arnold’s are so much more unique.
No Admission. Free Parking. Pay-for-play Packages!
I LOVE that there is no admission, free parking, and no reservations required for Arnold’s (with the exception of bowling). There are plenty of options and packages for credits/experiences, depending on how you want to play! Examples of pricing packages can be found here. That said, I HIGHLY recommend that you follow Arnold’s on their Instagram and Facebook, because they often have amazing specials happening!!
There is so much to do at Arnold’s that we didn’t even get to experience everything before the kids were completely wiped! (For example, we didn’t have a chance to climb the rock wall, and only tried out one of the XD Theater rides). Our kids both crashed hard, and were asleep in just a few minutes of the car ride home.
Kids’ Reviews of Arnold’s Family Fun Center:
My 5 year old son’s unfiltered, unedited review: “The train ride was one of my favorites. I loved us racing in the race car together, but Daddy beat us. I loved bowling. I loved that you were right near me on the ropes.”
My 8 year old daughter’s unfiltered, unedited review: “It was really fun and kid-friendly. It also has a restaurant if you’re getting hungry and you need something fast. It was really great! I really recommend it for people who like Arcade games, because they have a giant arcade. You can play millions of games in there! You can also take pictures with the mascots, and they have a bowling alley. I would rate it 5 stars out of 5 stars. One thing I liked was that the ropes course was higher on mine, and they made sure you were safe by using a harness. One thing I didn’t like was that the claw machines at Arnold’s were really hard. It can use up a lot of Arcade points, so I don’t suggest you use the claw machine.”
Husband’s Review of Arnold’s Family Fun Center:
“I think it’s a great place for family activities. The options are pretty varied. The Go-Kart racing was super fun, and the Karts had more power than I expected them to, which made racing really fun between us, with the kids in tow. Bowling was really fun. The food was tasty, and it’s a great option for activities when the weather outside is less-than ideal. The ropes course had two different levels of difficulty depending on the size of your children, which I really appreciated. The arcade games seemed a little pricey. The indoor rides were really good for the kids. There were plenty of places for parents to sit while the kids went around to do their thing. I see our family easily going there a few times a year, especially when it gets colder outside. Racing was my favorite part.”
